![]() Unfortunately almost no one does do the right thing and simply sticks with what they want, not what is needed. ![]() It’s not the fun role, you don’t want to play it, but it can and will win you the game a lot if you just be the guy on the team that isn’t selfish and does what needs to be done. If your team are trying to run a standard 2 DPS, 2 Tank and 2 Support set up and you sit there wanting to be Tracer and you need someone to Tank- you have to play Tank. It’s something you’ll have to learn in life, what others put in you must give back. In Competitive you have to make sacrifices sometimes, and if that means playing Reinhardt for your team when you want to be playing Soldier, then that’s just how things will be, if you don’t do what the team needs you’ll lose. Because it means that these players aren’t learning, they’re not learning how to play their heroes properly and are simply doing what they want and the rest of the team is bad because they’re not winning. A lot of players are really in it for themselves, it’s “I want to rank up, so I will do what I want.” instead of “I want to rank up, so I will do what the team needs for us to win.” This leads to the huge number of DPS players and lack of Supports, normally things just go like this: Everyone picks what hero they want, doesn’t matter about the team composition, last person then goes Support. Which leads to the main issue of Solo Queuing, people don’t really care about the team. One player can’t carry an entire team, unless you’re at very low levels, so your whole team has to be good and coordinated to be able to win… The thing is that Overwatch doesn’t really work like that. One or two good players can really carry a team, until you get to much higher ranks that is when it’s really about the whole team being good and not just one. but there Solo Queuing is slightly…easier let’s say. ![]() Solo Queuing in Competitive is something you find in all games, CS:GO, TF2 ect. This honestly is just stubborn Blizzard being stubborn Blizzard and not wanting to use the Stopwatch system, but I can live with it, for now anyway…īut the big thing we’re here to talk about, because it’s in the title, is Solo Queuing and the idea of ELO Hell, and starting off- yes, ELO Hell is a real thing. Along with this they’ve made a few changes to Hybrid and Escort, Payload, gam emodes, which now use the Time Bank system like 2 Control Point maps. Season 2 brought in a lot of new changes to Competitive, scrapping the 1-100 ranking system and going for a tier based one. It’s finally hit, or did over a week ago now, and it’s going…alright. It’s been a slightly shakey start for certain, but things look to be getting better now. A very big obsession, more like an addiction… Oh jeez I do seem to love talking about Overwatch on this blog! Like, half my posts so far have been Overwatch…Do I have an obsession? Yes. ![]()
